RRCB: finished
Way back in January I posted my nearly-completed version of Roll Roll Cotton Boll, which was Bonnie Hunter's holiday-season mystery quilt. Pam S. quilted it and delivered it to me at our guild meeting this week. I bound it on Thursday evening.
It's 88 x 88. An all-cotton bedsheet -- $2 at Salvation Army -- was perfect for the back.
This quilt was made entirely from my stash!

A beautiful finish - Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteGreat finish, and all from stash too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
Great quilt. Really like the border. Getting pieced borders to fit is sometimes difficult.
ReplyDeleteYour picture of the bedroom with the lamps that match the quilt is something that looks like a decorator's magazine shoot. It is wonderful! And the print sheet from Sally's looks like it was made for the quilt. What a spectacular job!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! Congratulations! I'm still working on mine. Still making hsts.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What a great two dollar find for the back.
ReplyDeleteBy far the most beautiful RRCB I've seen! I love the softness of the colors. I never started mine but want to now with colors like yours.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is FANTASTIC...I have one border to go on this puppy so I can appreciate how much love and work went into it! Thanks for the inspirations!
ReplyDeleteOh !! I love that back ! I have the same top, not yet quilted, so you are giving me ideas for the back. Very very nice
ReplyDeleteI love the sheet you used for the back, it is giving me ideas for my RRCB top, not yet quilted. thank you, it is beautiful (all of it !)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish! I followed all of you gals as you pieced this mystery quilt from Bonnie. I wasn't able to do any sewing at the time, but I have all of the mystery steps printed out and ready. Thanks for the inspiration to get going on my own RRCB
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Your quilt turned out really nice. Congratulations on a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing such a great quilt! Brilliant bargain in the backing too :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I have finished the 30 pieced blocks and am ready to start cutting the strip blocks in half. They took so long to stitch that I'm almost afraid to cut them.
ReplyDeleteOh it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteyou're RIGHT that is the perfect backing for your RRCB! :) My mother hand quilted all of her quilts and all the ones that my Momma Newt pieced... and about 80% of the time she choose a bed sheet to be the backing. :) So fun!
ReplyDeleteLove from Indiana! ~bonnie
Love your sheet! I'm always watching for sheets with quilt-worthy prints.
