RRCB: finished

Way back in January I posted my nearly-completed version of Roll Roll Cotton Boll, which was Bonnie Hunter's holiday-season mystery quilt.  Pam S. quilted it and delivered it to me at our guild meeting this week.  I bound it on Thursday evening.

It's 88 x 88.  An all-cotton bedsheet -- $2 at Salvation Army -- was perfect for the back.

This quilt was made entirely from my stash!

  3. Great quilt. Really like the border. Getting pieced borders to fit is sometimes difficult.

  4. Your picture of the bedroom with the lamps that match the quilt is something that looks like a decorator's magazine shoot. It is wonderful! And the print sheet from Sally's looks like it was made for the quilt. What a spectacular job!

  7. By far the most beautiful RRCB I've seen! I love the softness of the colors. I never started mine but want to now with colors like yours.

  11. Gorgeous finish! I followed all of you gals as you pieced this mystery quilt from Bonnie. I wasn't able to do any sewing at the time, but I have all of the mystery steps printed out and ready. Thanks for the inspiration to get going on my own RRCB

  14. Just beautiful! I have finished the 30 pieced blocks and am ready to start cutting the strip blocks in half. They took so long to stitch that I'm almost afraid to cut them.

  15. you're RIGHT that is the perfect backing for your RRCB! :) My mother hand quilted all of her quilts and all the ones that my Momma Newt pieced... and about 80% of the time she choose a bed sheet to be the backing. :) So fun!

    Love from Indiana! ~bonnie
