Morocco was wonderful. I plan to have the travelog post composed and up by Monday. (If you've been following me on FB you've already seen most of what will comprise that post.)
I walked in the door at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday, which was 10:02 Morocco time. I fell asleep at 7:30 and stayed asleep until 5 a.m.
I dropped my ballot in the box at Zion City Hall before I got groceries and picked up the mail.
The laundry's done, luggage stored, bills paid, checkbook and credit card reconciled (so convenient for their computers to figure out the transaction fees automatically).
The weather has been beautiful and I enjoyed a walk at Illinois Beach State Park. (I indulged in the delicious Moroccan cuisine and need to work off that "souvenir.")
Rotary, the Clara Cummings Book Club, and the AAUW board all met yesterday. Life goes on.
And quilting is part of life, right?
Pattern and design abounded in Morocco. Tiled floors, tiled walls, painted ceilings, Arabic calligraphy--so much inspiration.
I bought this tile in the souk (marketplace) in Marrakesh. The eight-pointed center motif is called Solomon's Star. I'm going to use EQ to draft a quit block.
Linking up with Finished or Not Friday Come back on Monday for the travelog!
