Friday check in: two more flimsies

Warm weather and sunshine for yesterday's walk.

My jacket is Air Light from L.L. Bean. One of the women on the New Zealand trip had three of the pullover models and on her recommendation I got this one.  (This color was on sale. :)) It is just the right weight and warmth.

Mr. and Mrs. Crane were taking a walk, too.

I'm all in for the Villa Rosa Designs Six Quilts in Six Weeks challenge!

Flimsy #5 is Lollipop.  It was super-easy to piece.  I used homespuns with a Thimbleberries print for the background.    but I'm not wild about this one but it will make a nice donation quilt.  The patches are 2-1/2" unfinished and 6-1/2" unfinished.

42" x 50".  It's under the needle now.

Flimsy #6 is Jolie.  I knew it would be just right to show off a fabric collection.  In this case, African wax prints that have been in the box far too long. **

The frame print is orange and black. I took a chance with the sashing/border.  I don't have any African mostly-black/subtle [of course I have lots of wild prints].   I chose a dark red/dark blue print and I like the way it turned out!

A new project is on the near horizon.  I've been invited to the baby shower for my nephew and his wife.  It's in late May.  I Spy coming up!  But before that I have to (a) finish these Villa Rosa quilts and (b) make the Trip Around the World for the P.E.O. convention.  I can do it!

** How long in the box?  I just found this photo from January, 2020 -- ALA Midwinter in Philadelphia.
