On Tuesday I gave ten of my quilts to CTCA in Zion.
The concierge and I took our masks off for the photo op. (I keep a mask in a ziploc bag in a pocket of my purse and had tor rummage around to find it.)
This is the tag that I pinned to each quilt.
I've donated 25 quilts this month. I will take the wheelchair quilts I've finished (7 out of 13) to the March 1 guild meeting. I have reduced the mountain of finished quilts to a hill.

My plans for today have changed and I think I'll be able to finish piecing the back, get it basted, and begin quilting. This is a commission quilt and I'd like to deliver it so as to have the money in hand when I go to QuiltCon next week!

What a darling combination of fabrics for the backing, another element of I Spy as the child gets older and starts learning letters and numbers. The quilt tag is wonderful. Do you print it on paper?

i love that rust colored one with what appear to be crumb blocks... wow... i am running off to find some crumb blocks which are about to bury me...
ReplyDeleteI like the label you attach to your donation quilts. You are so right about the joy of giving , not only our quilts but a measure of hope to those who receive them, that no matter how hopeless they might perceive their situation to be, that others still care about them.
ReplyDeleteOoh, going to QuiltCon! Will expect a thorough report.
ReplyDeletevery nice ispy...and lovely poem...
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for your donations!! Perfect label, too. You inspire me to get going on making my planned donation quilts!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely heart you have to make so many quilts for charity! Love the back that you're piecing for the Eye Spy. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteI really like the inner border on the I spy quilt, I need to push my border boundaries beyond "plain" because that works so well
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all the donation quilts, what a great way to reduce the stash and help someone else. Good luck finishing up your commission quilt. It's looking good.
