I couldn't make any decision about the blocks that were on the wall last Monday so I turned to another project. This will be the ZBPL holiday raffle quilt this year. There are four other sewists/quilters on the library staff and I invited them to contribute these split 9-patch blocks. (I need to give them a nudge to find out how many they've made.) The design I drafted in EQ7 calls for 120 6" blocks, 60 with green chains and 60 with red chains.
I know that three of the blocks are turned the wrong way.
I love the design - it's a great holiday quilt - that doesn't scream Christmas. You can easily use this all year long!
ReplyDeleteI really like the design. Perfect for a benefit quilt as it's a pattern everyone can love.
ReplyDeleteLots of times when I get stymied on a project - I put it away and when I take it out the solution is evident! Love the current project too!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt in the works there...
ReplyDeleteLove the long red and green chains you've created with the block orientation.
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with layout challenges...move on to something else while I mull it over. Hopefully I come back to the project at some point!!
love those greens.
ReplyDeleteOh, I LIKE this! Keep going, it is working.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright and cheery holiday quilt you are making. I hope everyone else is chugging along with their blocks so we can see the finished product soon.
