All 25 Old Town blocks are assembled. I think the design looks good this way but the sashing, which I have yet to make, kicks it up several notches. I will persevere.
I've begun something new.
These are big blocks -- 17" finished -- and that 8-1/2" center square called for the jumbo Kaffe flowers.
My One Monthly Goal for January is, as usual, two goals:
(a) finish the Amelia top
(b) get started on my 2025 placemat project
Sunny and cold today. AAUW book group meets in person this afternoon. Quilt guild meets by Zoom tonight.
Linking up with Wednesday Wait Loss. (I missed the sign up deadline for January OMG.)
I'm curious to know if the Villa Rosa quiltalong means that you make one block each month or do you do an entire top in that design so you end up with 12 tops by the end of the year. I'm not a quilter so these things can be a mystery.
ReplyDeletei actually prefer your old town this way....i personally think the sashing muddies the water on this one...lovely kaffe fabrics ideal for this project
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new project. Old Town is gorgeous with or without the sashing.
ReplyDeleteI really like that Amelia block; and your choice of a big KF flower fits it perfectly...nice work :)))

Your Old Town blocks are beautiful! I had to go look at Bonnie's version to see what the sashing looks like. It's an amazing design! I love those star blocks - they are definitely perfect for some fussy cutting.
ReplyDeleteLook at you go getting all of those blocks done already! Awesome! I have the clues done, but have not assembled any blocks yet. It's getting exciting around here. Can't wait to see more completed tops in all the creative color ways.
