It was indeed a beautiful weekend in northeasternmost Illinois. I took these photos Saturday afternoon. The wind whipped the tree branches around but the lake was placid.
The lefthand photo was taken in June. It shows a washed-out culvert. The righthand photo, taken Saturday, shows the new replacement.
