I decided on a piano key border. I cut strips 1.5 x 7.5, sewed them into 6's, trimmed to 6.5 x 6.5, and sewed those blocks together. "Diamond Stamps" used 8-3/8 yards, all from my stash. It's approx. 72 x 82.
This looks very cozy-fall. That's just how it turned out. And now I *have* to get to work on the projects that have definite deadlines, which were sidetracked by this one.
Great scrap quilt! The colors work really well together and I like the square-in-a-square effect.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is super scrappy and brilliant! Congrats :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a scrap sampler! and maybe it's just the screen resolution, but the colors and pattern remind me of a hooked rug. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! I want to make one too! Those are definitely my colors....and I've always loved the piano keys borders. Aren't those relaxing to make? Mindless sewing....Thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect!! Great job.
ReplyDeleteThat is gorgeous! I'm not a big fan of borders, but those piano keys add SO much to the quilt -- they're wonderful.
ReplyDeleteToo beautiful for words!!!
