There's so much to love - encouraging folks to use us both on site and from home by allowing people to get library cards online, making the library feel comfortable and welcoming to everyone who comes in by redesigning our spaces on a really small budget, having desk staff who greet and acknowledge those who do come in, and all the creative programming that takes place. Our annual events are so much fun - Talk to the Experts, who are stationed all around the library; an overnight Camp-in for over 325 children and parents who turn off the TV for one week; a Battle of the Bands for local kids with garage bands; Put the Give in Thanksgiving, when patrons of all ages can come in to make things to give families at shelters or dogs and cats at the Humane Society or win a Little Free Library; teen programs developed by a really active TAB - the list goes on and on. We even have a quilt displayed in the children's room with each square made by a library patron that are based on their favorite children's book. No one can say that libraries are becoming irrelevant!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12406430563627411545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5409545905735011881.post-46168160435240830842013-11-26T12:25:33.715-06:002013-11-26T12:25:33.715-06:00Newton County Public Library has a great Audio Boo...Newton County Public Library has a great Audio Books Collection.
