BWGP finished!

Here 'tis:  bordered, quilted, and bound. It's 59x68.

I did a freemotion loopy 'flower' in each star, zig-zag through the sashes and narrow borders, and my default 'triangle vine' in the border.

I bought four yards of fabric for the back and two 1/2-yard pieces of lime green, one of which I used for the inner border.  That boosts my *total* fabric purchases since November 1 to a whole 25 yards!

I didn't need to insert the row of SIS blocks into the back but I like the effect.

  2. GREAT job Nann! The happy couple will LOVE it. How about a close-up of a couple of the blocks? I can't make out the original 4" blocks you started with. LOL. And I love the backside treatment!

  3. Lovely Nann. I like the strip in the back, it may not have needed it but it wanted it.

  5. Great job, Nann! I missed out on the translation of whatever BWGP stands for, but I love the pieced backing!

  6. Nann, that is simply stunning! The border treatment is so right. You were wise to buy the green and put it in with the white before adding the purple. Also, the strip of blocks on the back is just too perfect.

  7. I have a confession. When you first posted the blocks, I thought, "I will not like this quilt." The colors just weren't my cuppa. Silly me! I absolutely love it! I should have known to trust your magic knack with design and color. :-)
