Inspired by Bonnie

I looked at the pinwheels (see Monday's post) and thought, "How would Bonnie   set these?" Here's the work in progress.  I want to make three more nine-patches.  The sashing and the border will be scrappy (but probably not red).

  1. Nann, I like the colors in your quilt. I've been using reds and blues in all my liberated 'scrap' quilts-not really scraps because I'm using leftover pieces larger than little scraps. Your blocks give me an idea of how to get those greens and yellows into my next liberated quilt.

  3. I'm loving how this is coming together, but then red is my fav. colour, so I could be biased :)

  5. Nann, it looks great! How about a Bonnie Texas Braid border with the red solids? Whatever you choose, it will be handsome! Vic

  6. What an attractive quilt! This will be so nice when it's done! Glad I got to see it - will be looking forward to seeing what you decide for sashing and borders!

  7. very nice blocks. What a good use of half square triangles. Are they excess half square triangles ... ie cut off from other projects? And, size of the blocks? Do you think there is some copying being thought about here? Those blocks are looking good!
